Day 2 Evening
This evening we had a welcoming ceremony where we were showered with many gifts from CSBS Mrs Aw Boon Haw Secondary School. There were also two special guests one from the US Counsel to HK and another the Assistant Secretary of the Education Department in Hong Kong. After the ceremony we headed down to Ladies Market for some shopping, ..luckly no one got a video of our group singing My Old Kentucky Home..lets just say we wont be getting on American Idol anytime soon!
Day 2 Morning
We got to school a bit later than usual (I had to do an rank 1 class via the internet), because we were a little off schedule Scott and I took at Taxi from our hotel to the school which cost about 85 HK Dollars (no worries each US Dollar translates into around 8 HK Dollars). Today we will have a pizza lunch in the library and then we will have our welcoming ceremony. This after noon we will be headed down to ladies market with the group to do a little shopping...this place is like a outdoor flea market on steriods, and it should be a great experience for the kids. If anything..they should at least come away from it with a better apprication of bargining...and alot of nice gifts!
Here is a picture of the kids playing on a snack break, the views around here are crazy! The mountian in the background has no name..the principal here Stephen calls it "a hill"
Here is a picture of Scott leaving the hotel room and headed out to do some international diplomacy...

Day 1
Busy Day!
We started the day with a little gardening class which was followed by a McD's Lunch (brought to us at the school). At the end of the school day we boarded a charter bus and took a stroll down the Avenue of the Stars (pic above is from there, the students and the master...Bruce Lee). The weather is a bit overcast with some scattered rain, temp stayed in the 60's for most of the day. After walking down the Avenue of the Stars we had dinner at The Spagetti House which was followed by the Symphony of Lights in the Harbour.
Tommorrow we will be having the big welcoming ceremony...where we will sing, as a group, My Old Kentucky Home (lets just say this should be interesting since we dont have a very musically talented group..minus Sarah. After the Ceremony we will go to the Ladies Market for some big time shopping..I'll try to make sure the students get some good gifts while not spending all of their money! Take Care!
