Po Lin Monastery

After walking up and checking out the huge Buddha we then walked directly across the street to look around the Po Lin Monastery, and there was alot of interesting things to see. Since today was a holiday there were alot of visitors at both of these attractions and many came to these attractions because of their Buddhist Religion. Alot of Chinese people were burning insense and bowing to statues of Buddha at the Monastery. Above is a picture of the inside of one of the temples at the monastary....a sight to see! After walking through the monastery we went and ate some vegetarian chinese food.....not my cup of tea :) (they have found alot of creative ways to cook tofu!, the picture above is of the bean soup). After eating it was then time to for the kids to see a show and we headed back to our hotel (after their show were headed back to their host family's house). But, the ride home was one for all would be quite unforgetable!-DTW
